Norway is known for its rich landscapes. The nation’s wealth of stunning waterfalls plays a major role in shaping that reputation and maintaining it. Located between Oslo and Bergen the Flam Railway connects the main rail line with the small port town of Flam. A winding, zig-zag path cuts down through the fjord on narrow gauge tracks before reaching the picturesque fjord below. Visitors lucky enough to enjoy the trip will find that the train stops briefly at Kjosfossen Falls – a hauntingly beautiful waterfall that crashed down towards, and then eventually under the train tracks.
